You are probably wondering what exactly is a “scarless” breast augmentation? Okay, so I admit it is impossible to have entirely no scar from a procedure that requires an incision. If the skin is broken, a scar results every time, whether due to cutting, scraping, or burning the skin. With a successful healing process, the scar will fade and thin becoming a faint line.

However, it becomes “scarless” when strategic placement of the scar minimizes its appearance to the point where it is almost impossible to see with the naked eye.  Behold the transumbilical breast augmentation, commonly known as TUBA!  With this hour - long procedure, the breast implants are placed through the belly button! There are no additional risks with the TUBA, however, you must be a proper candidate so it is important to discuss with your Board Certified Plastic Surgeon if this technique is right for you.

Here’s how the TUBA is performed: First a small incision is placed inside the belly button. Instruments are then used to carefully design the pocket for the implant. The deflated implant is then placed into the pocket and filled to the desired volume.  My patients recover y leaves them with breasts they’ve always wanted and a virtually invisible scar in the belly button! About 60% of the breast augmentations performed at MyLook Surgery are through the belly button and the patient satisfaction is 100%!
